This group was started to provide a place for acoustic instrument musicians of all playing levels to meet, jam, collaborate and have fun playing with others. The hope is to have a convenient location and time for regular biweekly jams. Another goal is to find a venue to host a regular open-mic.

This group will meet to practice and play Guitar at Happy Hour. It is for beginners and intermediate players. We'll play along to a list of over 80 songs from beginning to end. This is a group for LGBT rock musicians and singers of all levels who seek to jam, collaborate and create rock based music.  We play rock covers and original rock music. I'm in a rock band and although I enjoy my straight band mates I want to Rock Out with similarly inclined brothers and sisters of the LGBT community. Please be LGBT and a musician or singer in the NYC area. Studio rental costs for a jam session will be split amongst participants after the 7-10-12 jam.

For anyone interested in performing and/or learning traditional Cuban music and meeting fellow Cuban and hispanic music performers, let's meet up and jam! For the most part, this is just a Cuban music-focused jam session, but now and again we'll welcome teachers to perform workshops for more structured teaching. Also, while it's a distinct possibility that we'll perform in front of them at some point, this is a meetup for *musicians* interested in Cuban music, not dancers.
